Description

This took a fair amount of experimentation. I wanted to get a detailed image of the Milk Way Core including the Rho Ophiuchi Nebula. I had read that the Sigma 60mm f2.8 lens was sharp, so I wanted to give it a try stitching a panorama in this piece of sky. I knew I needed to work fast so all the frames would stitch without gaps in space or time. I took between 12 and 13 frames for each section of sky with 35 second exposures, f 3.5, ISO 3200. Added 19 Dark frames. Stacked each panel in Starry Landscape Stacker, then combined in Affinity Photo, and further processed in Luminar Neo. I was very pleased with the result!
